Privacy notice and story box rules

Who runs this
The De Town website and story box are run by Los Padrinos (lpadrinos.com), the data controller. To ask anything about your data, or to ask us to delete it, write to privacidad@lpadrinos.com. We answer within 30 days.
What we store
Likes: a random identifier saved in your browser and a scrambled code made from your network address (we cannot read the address back). Comments: the text, the name you choose and the same codes. Story box: the characters you pick and the text you write; optionally your social network and username (only to give you credit) and one picture. No cookies, no ads, no profiles.
Why, and on what basis
To read your idea and, if we pick it, turn it into a chapter with your credit. We do it because you consent when you tick the box and press send. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who sees it
Only the De Town team. Your text, username and picture are never shown publicly: they only appear (the username only, as “Idea by @username”) if we pick your idea. Technical providers: Supabase (database and private file storage) and Vercel (hosting).
How long we keep it
Pictures are deleted after 30 days if the idea is not used. Ideas that are not used are deleted after 12 months. Comments stay until you ask us to delete them. If your idea becomes a chapter, the idea and the credit stay with the chapter.
Visit statistics
We count visits and a few actions (opening a chapter, finishing it, likes, votes, the story box, language changes, sharing) with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and does not follow you between sites or keep your address. Nothing is sent to anyone else. Fonts are served from our own site, not from Google.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what you sent (an idea, a comment or a like), or to remove your credit. Write to privacidad@lpadrinos.com with the date and a few words of your text so we can find it. We reply and act within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Age
You must be 16 or older, or have an adult’s permission to send an idea.
Rules of the story box
Write what happens, not what the characters say: the characters act in their own way and we write the dialogue. We also choose the places.
No links, emails or phone numbers, no real people or celebrities, no brands, no hate, no sexual content, no violence against children. Only your own ideas and your own pictures or original characters.
Send up to two stories per day. Anything can be discarded without a reply; nothing is published without review.
By sending, you give us permission to use your idea and picture (if any) in the series, in any language and on any channel, without payment, and we may change them to fit the characters. A picture may inspire a character made with AI. We credit you if you asked for it.
